EUROPEAN FOOD PACKAGES BROUGHT A TOUCH OF JOY TO MANY CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

European Food packages brought a touch of joy to many children and teenagers

Shortly before the Christmas holiday, the European Food team managed to hand out around 200 packages of sweets and juices from the European Food range to children living at the Felix Homes in Sântandrei and Sânmartin, to children from two family-type homes – one of them belonging to the “Mereu Împreună” (Always Together) Youth Association – as well as to teenagers and adults under the care of the Bihor General Directorate for Social Assistance and Child Protection.

Moments of happiness
They were moments that warmed our hearts; the children received the packages we had put together with such enthusiasm that we were amazed by their innocence and joy. Every time we entered one of the little homes, a sense of harmony filled the air, and we received a lesson we already knew but rarely truly live: children are the ones who can teach us to be grateful adults, always with a smile on our faces. The light in their inquisitive eyes, the way they welcomed our gifts and their farewell at the end were moments we will keep in our hearts.

As soon as we parked, we were greeted, and the young people there rushed to help. What is more, they cheerfully sang carols to us and recited a poem for us – in short, we stepped right into the Christmas spirit! When they thought we had brought them joy, in fact it was they who gave us moments we will keep alive in our hearts.
